Manila, Philippines 20 July 2018 – Filipino fans are once again in for the best in reality tv singing competition with the newest show from GMA Network, The Clash (@GMATheClash). Hosted by Asia’s Songbird Ms. Regine Velasquez-Alcasid (@reginevalcasid), The Clash is the first reality singing competition to stream on multi-platforms, including the network’s website GMA Entertainment and through social media via Twitter, where fans can tune in on #WhatsHappening and support their favorite Clasher.

Andre Paras (@andreparas95) and Joyce Pring (@joycepring), known in the show as #Clashmates, bring on-screen freshness as co-hosts of Regine.

The show’s esteemed judges, known as The Clash Panel, bring more excitement and insightful critiques every week as they search for The Top of the Clash. The Clash Panel is led by Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha (@LaniMisalucha), who is also making a comeback on Philippine television; Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista (@xtianbautista); and Comedy Concert Queen, Ms. Ai Ai delas Alas (@AiaiDeLasAlas).

62 Clashers were gathered nationwide and overseas as they were meticulously chosen by well-respected personalities from the music industry. The audition panel of judges were songwriter, South Border lead singer and composer Jay Durias (@jaydurias); multi-awarded composer, Vehnee Saturno (@VehneeSaturno1);  and TV director Bert de Leon (@bdl111).

In the elimination round, randomly paired Clashers must outperform each other to remain in the competition. As of now, 16 qualifiers have been determined after four episodes over the past two weeks.

The Clashers, Clash Master and Clash Mates keep in touch on Twitter on the latest happenings and key moments on #TheClash, #TheFirstClash, #TheClashOneOnOne, #TopofTheClash and #TheClashTapatan.

Former radio VJ #ClashmateJoyce (@joycepring) stays true to her personality with her endearing ‘hugot’ Tweets during the show.

Fans also couldn’t help but face off their idols, Regine Velasquez and Lani Misalucha, on Twitter.

Filipinos are music-loving people and they give their all-out support to hopefuls in singing competitions. The Clash had its fair share in the exchanges as kababayans supported their bet #Clasher and share the intense singing battle moments on the platform.

There’s a lot of singing to watch out for in the coming weeks. Expect more spectacular performances from the remaining Clashers as they compete for Top of the Clash. Continue to support your favorite Clasher by following the official Twitter account of The Clash @GMATheClash and share your favorite #TheClash moment.
