Leveraging its market leading data infrastructure technologies and smart analytics software foundation, Hitachi Data Systems is developing purpose-built solutions for a variety of markets that combine the power of connected devices and technologies – or the Internet of Things (IoT) – with operational technology (OT), machine-to-machine (M2M) and advanced data analytics, and best-of-breed IT infrastructure, all in a unified, fully integrated stack.
HDS in the Philippines
“These are exciting times for the Philippines, who is being hailed as a tiger economy” said Colin Tan, Managing Director for Philippines, Vietnam and Sri Lanka, Hitachi Data Systems.
According to a recent market survey from Bloomberg, the Philippines will be the second fastest growing economy in the world in 2015, second only to China.
This healthy economy is being translated into HDS sales as the Philippines contributed to 44% growth in FY14 and looking to continue that momentum with strong double digit growth in 1HFY15.
HDS will also continue to invest locally to serve its customers and partner eco-system as it broadens its solutions offerings and value to businesses and organizations.
“The fundamentals of IT are changing. Whether it is the adoption of ‘third platform’ technologies and striking the proper balance among the different modes of IT, or the ongoing move to providing IT as a service, there is real change taking place, all while our customers are trying to move to IT as a service,” said Mark Ablett, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific, Hitachi Data Systems. “Customers are looking for ways to be more agile and flexible to gain a competitive advantage. Hitachi is delivering a new generation of software-defined technologies built to support the changing needs of customer application environments to deliver on those goals and connect what works today with what’s next.”
“Hitachi Data Systems is rapidly evolving to become more than just a storage company. We are driving better business and societal outcomes for their customers through the expansion of expertise and offerings that integrate the Internet of Things, operational technology, and machine-to-machine and data analytics, which are increasingly important to organizations in both the public and private sectors,” said Sunil Chavan, Senior Director for Solution Sales-Asia Pacific, Hitachi Data Systems. “ In a world where rampant data growth and increasing IT and organizational complexity are often the culprits for stunted business growth, vendors that can streamline the path to becoming a truly data-driven organization ultimately stand to gain significant mind and market share.”
