Publicly listed online gaming publisher IP e-Game Ventures Inc., (IP E-Games; PSE: EG)Â is going overdrive with the preparations for Domination V, its fifth (5th) year anniversary celebration which will be held this April 2, 2011 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
Touted as the biggest single-day gaming event of the year, this yearâs gaming affair promises to bring more online gaming thrills and to be an even bigger event than last yearâs celebration.
Since 2007, the Domination event has been breaking record attendances, drawing tens of thousands of gamers each year. Domination II had a record attendance of more than 15,000 people, the third year anniversary event  had close to 21,000 gamers while last yearâs Domination V event took in an astounding 23,0000 gaming enthusiasts.
Domination V Highlights
This yearâs anniversary celebration is yet again different, this time using a Steampunk theme. The e-Games Steampunk version is industrial revolution meets science fiction and fantasy.
Miguel Bauza, IP e-Gamesâ VP for Marketing said they chose Steampunk for this year because the community loves this theme and itâs cool as well.
âWeâre attuned to what our community wants.â Bauza said. Â He added IP e-Games started with Road to Domination V (R2D5), the kickoff event for Domination V. Aside from online tournaments, R2D5 also held the Crush ng Bayan, Video Making Contest and Battle of the Bands competitions. The winners of these competitions, gamers themselves, will be part of the main event program.
IP e-Games  will have more than 300 hundred top-of-the-line  PCs available for freeplay, the most exciting online game tournaments and prizes, the hottest musical and celebrity performances.  It will have dedicated gaming areas for e-Gamesâ MMORPG (massively multiplayer online roleplaying game) titles RAN Online, CABAL Online, Runes of Magic, Dragonica, Granado Espada including X-Play Online Gamesâ Audition Dance Battle, OP7 and Bandmaster. Each gaming area will have its own online game tournaments with hundreds of thousands of pesos in cash prizes and exclusive in-game items
The event will also be launch pad for RAN Onlineâs new class â the Gunner. This new class will provide a whole new experience to playing the campus-based modern day MMORPG. The Gunner will have its own Power, Intelligence and Dexterity builds, skills, weapons and armor. This will be the sixth playable character class available for the game.
Aside from offline and online activities, IP e-Games is hosting the hottest musical performances from the most popular bands in the country. Popular bands Gracenote and 6CycleMind plus rapper extraordinaire Gloc-9 are all set to perform at the event.
