sunIn line with its proactive efforts to excite the lifestyle of the youth and the music industry, broadband service provider Sun Broadband launches a new breed of young music professionals through the recent culmination of the “Sun Broadband Quest” at the Music Museum.

“We have a ton of musical talents today and Sun Cellular, in partnership with MCA Music Inc, is dedicated to discover new talents and provide opportunities to our greatest, undiscovered talents today,” says Neph Denosta, Assistant-Vice President for Sun Broadband Marketing.

Starting with over a hundred hopefuls, the competition for the finals was down to ten college student bands from different parts of the country. And to enhance the musical skills of these contestants, Sun Broadband exposed them to intensive training-workshops with local music industry greats like Nyoy Volante, Ebe Dancel, Francis Reyes, Mally Paraguya, Eunice Jorge and Mike Dizon.

“We’ve pulled together all the possible avenues to make each team not only be more prepared for the finale, but also prosper as a veritable musical act beyond the competition,” explains Denosta.

At the end of the Sun Broadband Quest, one band emerged as the winner of P150,000 cash prize, an album to be produced and released by MCA Universal, and privileged gig bookings for Sun Cellular and MCA Universal events.

Sun Broadband is powered by Sun Cellular, a member of the PLDT Group.
