Synergy88 Digital is privileged to be visited by distinguished Filipino personalities who have made their respective marks in the digital gaming industry at Animahenasyon 2016, the annual animation festival and competition to be held in Manila from November 22 to 26. Coming from various fields of the digital realm, five internationally recognized artists will share their experiences not only to encourage and inspire emerging talents but also to expound on the continuing prospects and opportunities in the digital world of animation.
Jackeline Chua, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Synergy 88 Group of Companies, is excited about the forthcoming meeting of minds between world class artists and local talents. The Synergy 88 Group of Companies gives due recognition first and foremost to Erick Pangilinan, well-known art director of game developer Naughty Dog, for his unstinting support for Filipino talents. He has been instrumental in attracting Triple-A gaming talents to grace Animahenasyon 2016 on their own account.
Mr. Pangilinan credits his efforts to his fascination with creative digital arts and is more than happy to assemble some of the most prominent Filipinos in the gaming industry for ACPI and the Philippine game development companies to give back to the country that has been the cradle of their creative spark. The Philippines nurtured their imagination, and technology gave them the tools to let it fly to great heights. The artists who are flying in on their own accord also deserve recognition for taking the time to help open young Filipino minds to the immense possibilities in digital animation.
One of these internationally celebrated artists who are coming to Animahenasyon 2016 is Adelle Bueno, currently a Senior Technical Artist at the Advanced Technology Division at Square Enix Japan. Her passion for her craft can be seen in the critically-acclaimed The Last of Us (PS3, PS4), Drake’s Deception (PS3), as well as the upcoming PS4 exclusive, Bloodborne.
Carlos Pineda, a game designer at Respawn Entertainment, is another top-notch animator whose major works include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Ghosts.
A senior concept artist of Riot Games, Hong Ly is a Character Designer Instructor for more than 10 years. His long experience in the industry provides a wellspring of lessons, tips and tricks to aspiring animators.
Daniel Cabuco, Principal Artist at Sony Interactive Entertainment, earned his artistic stripes working on such projects as Lost Planet 3, Tomb Raider: Anniversary and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Behind his achievements are processes that come with creative obsession.
Various initiatives by Synergy Group of Companies like partnerships with schools bridge the gap between the local industry and international standards. Government support through trade missions sponsored by the Board of Investments and DTI-Export Marketing Bureau validates the company’s vision to integrate global industry requirements in the current environment.
