In its continued vision to empower Filipinos with good health to maximize their potential, USANA’s social responsibility arm True Health Foundation celebrated youth empowerment at Cornerstone’s Moving Up Day in Paranaque.
After a year of regular Saturday tutorials and feeding programs conducted by volunteers by both foundations, more than three hundred primary and secondary pupils marched on South Bay Gardens covered court. Moving Up Day, the graduation day of the Cornerstone scholars, was filled with bliss and fulfillment as students received their diplomas and reaped the fruits of their hardwork.
Atty. Dennis Albert Añover, one of the coordinator in Cornerstone Foundation, deems USANA as a valued partner in this program. “We can’t take USANA enough for the support that they give us. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be able to do a lot. We’ll always be restrained financially,” Atty. Añover said. USANA provides the school materials and sponsors the feeding programs to assure that the children armed with the needed resources and proper nourishment.
“It is USANA’s commitment to improve the lives of the people by giving an opportunity to make their life the best it can be. We believe that education is a key to a comfortable and happy life. And good nutrition is an essential to learning because it improves their mental capacity and academic behavior,” shares Aurora ‘Duday’ Gaston, USANA Regional Manager in the Philippines and Indonesia.

Cornerstone Foundation is borne out of the collaboration of ANCOP (Answering the Cry of the Poor), Couples for Christ and Ateneo de Manila University, which aims to empower the youth by proving quality education more accessible to the underprivileged in the society.
